Kim Hak-kyun

Kim Hak-kyun ( kor. 김학균 ; born November 15, 1971 ) is a former badminton player from South Korea .

Career

Kim Hak-kyun took part in two Summer Olympics. At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona , he was fifth in the men's singles. Four years later, at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta , it was only 17th place. Between the two Olympics , Kim won bronze in the men's singles at the 1994 Asian Games, behind Indonesians Heryanto Arbi and Joko Suprianto . At the Thailand Open 1995 and the Swedish Open 1995 he took second place. In 1996 he triumphed at the Korea Open . His first major success, however, dates back to 1989, when he won the mixed at the China Open together with Hwang Hye-young .

With the South Korean team, Kim won the Sudirman Cup in 1993 .
