In the media she is also dubbed "Korea's mother". During the broadcast period she also promoted the Cheil Jedang food company from 1975 to 2002. She also appeared in the theater .

In 1981 she made her film debut in Late Autumn , for which she was awarded Best Actress at the Manila International Film Festival in 1983 . Still, she stayed mostly with television. The film is about a single mother who loves her mentally disabled son more than anything and tries to prove his innocence in a murder case.
