Kim In- wann ( Korean 김인완 金 仁 完 ; born February 13, 1971 in Chungcheongnam-do , Seosan ) is a former South Korean soccer player who last played for Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma FC . He was most recently interim coach at the Jeonnam Dragons . At the end of 2018, however, he was removed from this post.
Career as a player
Adolescence
He began his training as a soccer player at Woosong Middle School . He was later trained at Woosong High School before he went to Kyung Hee University to complete his education there. After completing his training, he switched to the Jeonnam Dragons .
Football career in South Korea
He started his professional career in 1995 with the Jeonnam Dragons. He ran a total of 80 times for the Dragons and scored ten goals. His greatest achievement with the Dragons was winning the Korean FA Cup in 1997 . In mid-1999, he left the club towards Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma FC . For Ilhwa he ran a total of 12 times and scored three goals. With Ilhwa he was again in the cup final at the end of 1999 and was even able to win it 3-0 over Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and celebrate the second cup success after 1997. The following year he was again in the cup final with Ilhwa, but this time could not beat Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and lost the final 2-0. At the age of 29, he ended his career as a professional player in late 200.
International career
In 1987, during his training at Woosong Middle School, he was invited to the South Korean U-17 junior selection. In 1991 he was invited again to the South Korean U-23 selection .
Career as a coach
He began his coaching career two years after his retirement. In 2002 he became assistant coach of the Gwangyang Jecheol Middle School and remained in this position until the end of 2005. From 2006 to 2007 he took over the post of coach at the same location and thus managed the training of the players. It was the beginning of 2008 to the coach of the U-18 Jeonnam Dragons promoted and took over the fortunes as coach. Under his leadership, the Jeonnam Dragons U-18 team won the runner-up twice in a row. In 2009 he was promoted again due to his success and was coach of the 2nd team of the Jeonnam Dragons. He remained in this position until the end of 2010v. At the beginning of 2011 he moved to the Busan IPark , where he became assistant coach of the 1st team. In 2012 he became an assistant coach at Busan IPark. In 2013 he moved to Daejeon Citizen and became a trainer there. After the club threatened relegation, the club's management dismissed Kim In-wan. From 2014 to 2016 he was the assistant coach of the South Korean U-20 youth team . In 2017 he went back to the Jeonnam Dragons and took over the coaching post of the U-18 team. At the beginning of 2018 he was promoted to assistant coach of the 1st team. On August 16, 2018, after the dismissal of coach Yu Sang-cheol, he took over the post and became an interim coach. He also did not manage to stop the negative trend of the club, so that at the end of the season, on the penultimate matchday, he was relegated to the K League 2 . As a result, the club relieved him of his post as interim coach.
