Kim Madsen (born February 13, 1978 in Roskilde ) is a former Danish football player .
Career
Kim Madsen's first football stations were Svogerslev BK (1984 to 1991), Roskilde BK 1906 (1991 to 1995), Kjøbenhavns Boldklub (1995/96).
In 1996 he moved to FC København . At the age of 18 Madsen made his debut in the super league here . He was substituted on on September 22, 1996 in the 72nd minute game against AB Copenhagen . However, this remained his only game that season. The following season Madsen was loaned to Køge Boldklub . Back at FC København, he played his first international game on August 27, 1998 in the second leg of the qualifying round of the European Cup Winners' Cup with the Azerbaijani team FK Qarabağ Ağdam . During the season he made it to the round of 16 with the team and was used in the two other away games against Levski Sofia and Chelsea FC . In the 2000/2001 season he was Danish champion with FC København. The team was thus eligible to qualify for the UEFA Champions League . Madsen played both games against Torpedo Kutaisi in the 2nd round and Lazio Rome in the 3rd round of qualification. FC København lost to Lazio 3: 5 and missed the main round. In total, Madsen played 77 Superliga, five national cups, six UEFA Cups , three European Cup Winners' Cups, one UEFA Intertoto and four Champions League games for FC København, scoring a goal in the Superliga.
In the summer of 2002 he moved to VfL Wolfsburg for a transfer fee of 800,000 euros . For VfL Wolfsburg, he played 13 Bundesliga games. He scored his only goal for Wolfsburg on matchday 16 of the 2002/03 season to make it 2-2 at Hertha BSC .
In December 2003, the Dane moved to Hansa Rostock on a free transfer . By the end of the 2004/05 season he played 24 first division games for Hansa Rostock and scored one goal. At the end of the 2004/05 season he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with FC Hansa. In the following two second division seasons he ran 34 times and at the end of the 2006/07 season he was promoted back to the Bundesliga. Madsen was not part of the regular formation of FC Hansa Rostock in the promotion season.
After five years in Germany, Madsen wanted to go back to Denmark. In June 2007 he moved to the Danish first division promoted Aarhus GF . There he signed a three-year contract. In total, he played 42 times for the club in the three years, of which only once last year. After the 2009/10 season, Madsen ended his career.
