Odelius started playing football at Älta IF . In 1999 he moved to the youth department of IF Brommapojkarna . There he recommended himself for the Swedish student selection, in which he made his debut in 2000. After a year break, he returned to the youth team in 2002 and was able to establish himself in the Swedish U-17 team.

In 2003 Odelius made his debut for IF Brommapojkarna in the Superettan . In the first two years when he was part of the men's team at the Stockholm club, he was used irregularly. In the second division season in 2005 he established himself in the regular formation and was used in 25 of the 30 season games. In the following season he was only used in 17 games in which he contributed to reaching third place in the table, which entitled to relegation. After two wins over BK Häcken he was able to celebrate the first promotion to the Swedish House of Lords with the team.

After the direct relegation, Odelius managed to return to the regular formation of the club. Again he reached the relegation place with IF Brommapojkarna, this time Ljungskile SK was defeated. In the Allsvenskan he was also part of the regular staff before he was sent off with a red card on matchday four in the 3-2 defeat in the local derby against AIK by referee Martin Hansson after a tackle against Martin Kayongo-Mutumba . Nevertheless, as a regular player, he helped the club to reach twelfth place at the end of the 2009 season , which was the first time in the club's history to keep up in the Swedish elite series. Due to injury, he had to pause temporarily in the following season and missed with the team as bottom of the table to stay in the Allsvenskan.

In mid-January 2011 Odelius moved to the promoted Akropolis IF in the third class Division 1 , where he signed a contract valid until the end of the season.
