Kim Småge
Kim Småge , pseudonym for Anne Karin Thorhus (born June 23, 1945 in Trondheim ), is a Norwegian teacher , writer , translator and journalist who became internationally known for her detective novels . She was the world's first female instructor for scuba diving and underwater hunting. Her books have been translated into eight languages (as of the end of 2019).
After vocational school, work as a secretary and high school graduation from a business school, she studied Scandinavian studies , English and geography at the University of Trondheim from 1973 to 1977 . She has been a freelance writer since 1991. With her novel Nattdykk ( Eng . Nachttauchen ) Småge was the first woman of the so-called "new female wave" in Norwegian crime literature.
From 1987 to 1991 and from 2002 to 2004 she was a board member of Den norske Forfatterforening (DnF), the Norwegian writers' association. Småge lives near Trondheim.
