Kim Yong-kang

Kim Yong-kang (* 3. January 1965 in Hwaseong , South Korea ) is a former South Korean boxer in the flyweight .

Professional career

On July 24, 1988 he boxed against Sot Chitalada for the WBC World Championship and won by unanimous decision of the judges. He defended this belt three times and lost it to Chitalada in a rematch on points in March of the following year.

On June 1, 1991 he was WBA World Champion when he defeated Elvis Álvarez on points. After two consecutive title defenses, he lost the belt on September 26, 1992 to Aquiles Guzmán by unanimous decision.
