Kimi no Suizō o Tabetai ( Japanese 君 の 膵 臓 を た べ た い Kimi no Suizō o Tabetai , German 'I want to eat your pancreas ' , alternative title I Want to Eat Your Pancreas or Let Me Eat Your Pancreas ) is a novel by the Japanese writer Yoru Sumino , which was first published as a web novel in 2014 and published as a book a year later. Between 2016 and 2017, it was implemented as a manga . In 2017, Kimi no Suizō o Tabetai was a real- life film ; an anime film was released in Japanese theaters on September 1, 2018.

In 2014 Yoru Sumino published Kimi no Suizō o Tabetai as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website before the publisher Futabasha became aware of him, signed him up and published a print edition the following year. In March 2018, Seven Seas Entertainment announced the license to publish the novel in English. A publication is planned for November 20, 2018.

Sumino wrote a second novel with the title Chichi to Tsuioku no Dareka ni - in German about To my father and someone in my memories - the plot of which is based on the events in Kimi no Suizō o Tabetai and, as an encore, an exclusive conversation between the author and includes the Japanese voice actors of the two main characters. Participating cinemas in Japan distributed the edition to moviegoers.

Manga

Idumi Kirihara started a manga series in Futabasha's Monthly Action Magazine on August 25, 2016 . This ended on May 25 a year later. The chapters were published in two tankōbon , on February 10, 2017 and June 20 of the same year. A German translation was published by Carlsen Manga in December 2018 and March 2019 under the title Sakura - I want to eat your pancreas . The manga has also been licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment, which will publish the first volume of the manga on January 22, 2019.

Real film

With Kimi no Suizo o Tabetai was on July 28, 2017 live-action film released in the Takumi Kitamura and Minami Hamabe the roles of the main characters play. In October of the same year the film was shown in South Korea as part of the Busan International Film Festival ; in Malaysia the film was shown on November 9th by the Golden Screen Cinemas chain .

Anime film

In August 2017, it was also announced that it would be converted into an anime film, directed by Shinichirō Ushijima . The VOLN studio was announced as the animation studio . The music was written by Hiroko Sebu . The film is distributed in Japan by Aniplex and will be released in Japanese cinemas on September 1, 2018. The US subsidiary of Aniplex announced at Anime Expo 2018 that it would bring the film to US cinemas. At the SMASH! announced Madman Entertainment on the film in Australia and New Zealand show.
