The Kimscha ( Russian Кимжа ) is a left tributary of the Mesen in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .

It arises at the confluence of the two source rivers Wiska and Werwei . The Kimscha flows in a northerly direction and has many meanders . It runs west of the Mesen and east of the Kuloi tributary Nemnjuga . A few kilometers above the confluence with the Mesen is the village of the same name, Kimscha . Otherwise the area is unpopulated. The mouth of the Kimsha is opposite that of the Pjosa .

The 158 km long river drains an area of ​​1490 km². It is mainly fed by the snowmelt. The main tributary is the Tjafsora from the right.
