Children of Heaven is the debut album by the Austrian rapper Nazar .
background
After his songs, published on the Internet, quickly spread, Nazar recorded an album. The release was preceded by the singles Streetfighter Part 2 and Kinder des Himmels . To make it possible to shoot the associated video, part of Vienna's 10th district of Favoriten was cordoned off for several hours.
Well-known producers and guest musicians have already been selected for the album. Raf Camora , Woroc and Tobstarr provided the beats . One song was produced by Nazar himself. In addition, collaborations with MC Bogy , Deso Dogg and Godsilla were started for the album . Furthermore, Nazar got support from his label partners Emirez and Ezai. The album was recorded in Berlin, the original release date in early May 2008 could not be kept due to the arrest of co-producer Ezai. For advertising purposes, Nazar had the Linz rapper Chakuza rap in the first 20 seconds of the song Kinder des Himmels .
Nazar himself had caused a stir beforehand, as he had been in custody for four weeks on suspicion of robbery. Criticism of Nazar's musical style followed, with claims that he clung too closely to the German-Tunisian hip-hop musician Bushido .
Several songs describe Nazar's difficult youth in Vienna- Favoriten several times .
