The Kinsella Peak is a 1050 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains, it rises 8 km west of Mount Cowart on the south side of the Gale Ridge .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after William R. Kinsella, aircraft electronics technician at Ellsworth Station in the Antarctic winter of 1958.
