The Evangelical Lutheran listed church Neundorf is in Neundorf , a district of the independent city of Suhl in Thuringia . The Evangelical Church in Neundorf belongs to the parish area Suhl Heinrichs in Kirchenkreis Henneberger Land of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

A small church in Neundorf already existed in 1662. After this had become dilapidated , a new church was built on the Kirchberg in 1691. After this had become too small, the foundation stone for today's church was laid on May 14, 1760 . It was inaugurated on November 13, 1763.

Building description

The simple hall church , covered with a half- hip roof , has a slate roof tower in the north . Its eight-sided upper floor houses the belfry . On it sits a hood , which is crowned with a tower ball and a cross.

In the interior there are galleries . A pulpit altar belongs to the church furnishings . Behind it is the organ with 8 registers , distributed over a manual and pedal . It was built in 1906 by Adam Eifert and restored by Schönefeld Organ Builders in 1993 .
