Kirill Maximowitsch Djakow ( Russian Кирилл Максимович Дьяков ; born May 21, 1993 in Nizhny Tagil ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Admiral Vladivostok from the Continental Hockey League (KHL) until December 2019, where he held the position of defender has played.

Career

Kirill Djakow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Sputnik Nizhny Tagil . From there he moved to Lokomotive Yaroslavl's youth department in 2005 . For his junior team Loko Yaroslavl, the defender ran in the 2009/10 multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga . The following season he spent in parallel with the PHK Krylja Sowetow Moscow in the Wysschaja Hockey League , the second Russian division, and with its junior team MHK Krylja in the MHL.

For the 2011/12 season Djakow was committed by HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk from the Continental Hockey League . In his first year at the new club, he ran mainly for its junior team Mamonty Jugry in the MHL, while he came to a goal in nine games for Jugra in the KHL. In the 2012/13 season he developed into a regular player at Ugra and continued this trend in the following season. In August HK Ugra exchanged him for Daniil Stalnow from Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . At Torpedo, however, he was not given a regular KHL seat, but was used at HK Sarow before he was handed over to HK Lada Tolyatti in December 2014 . A few days later, the HK Lada exchanged him for a right to vote in the KHL Junior Draft 2015 by Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk .

From June 2017 he was again under contract with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk before he switched again to HK Lada Tolyatti for the 2017/18 season. After the 2017/18 season, Lada Tolyatti was expelled from the KHL and Djakov decided to continue his career with Admiral Vladivostok . There he was under contract until December 2019.

International

For Russia , Djakow took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2013 , where he and his team won the bronze medal.
