Kirsty Bertarelli (born Roper , born June 30, 1971 in Staffordshire , England ) is a British - Swiss singer and songwriter and former Miss United Kingdom .

Life

Kirsty Roper grew a British businessman in the daughter English to Staffordshire. Her father ran the ceramic company Churchill China, which was then wholly owned by the Roper family and is still partly owned today.

In 1988 Bertarelli was voted Miss United Kingdom at the age of 17. As a result, she also worked as a model for a while. However, with the move to London , she focused on writing songs and was later signed to Warner . Her greatest success as a songwriter was in 2000 when she co-wrote the All Saints' number one hit Black Coffee .

Bertarelli was also active in various projects, including her own women's collection under the Alinghi label and for the Smiling Children charity, for which she wrote and performed several songs. As a result, she was signed to Universal in 2009 . Her debut album Elusive , for which she also wrote the lyrics, was released in January 2010 and reached the top 20 on the Swiss charts .

Since 2000 she has been married to the Italian- Swiss entrepreneur and billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli . She lives with him in Switzerland. She is the mother of three children.
