The Kissinger Hütte is a shelter of the Rhön Club on the summit of 832 m above sea level. NHN high Schwarzenberg in the Rhön . It belongs to the municipality of Sandberg in the Bavarian district of Rhön-Grabfeld and is near the district of Langenleiten .
The mountain station of the only chair lift in the Rhön, the Feuerberg lift , is located here.

The hut is one of the oldest mountain houses in the Rhön. It was built in 1914 as the König-Ludwig-Hütte and has belonged to the Bad Kissingen branch of the Rhönklub ever since . It was named "Kissinger Hütte" after the First World War. Up to its present appearance, the Kissinger Hütte has been expanded four times, the last time in 1972. There is a guest room and overnight accommodation.
Hiking trails
Kreuzberg , located about 4 km to the northeast, can be reached on several signposted paths.
- The Kardinal-Döpfner-Weg ( Würzburger Haus –Kissinger Hütte – Kreuzberg; approx. 12 km long) leads past the hut.
- The basalt tour is an approx. 12 km long extra tour of the Hochrhöner , and there are numerous other hiking opportunities.
- As a long-distance hiking trail, there is the Klosterweg HWO7 , the Rhönhöhenweg RHW.
