history
The band name kissogram refers to a message of greeting conveyed by a kiss.
In the first three years of existence, Kissogram was mostly known through live performances. Then a test recording of their piece If I Had Known This Before came to the operators of the Blaou label , who recognized the potential of the track. Since the label was mainly specialized in electronic dance music, the Berlin DJ was Woody with a remix commissioned the track. The project called Woody vs. Kissogram published piece became one of the club hits of 2001 and in January of the following year it also reached number 60 on the German single charts.
In 2004 the first album The Secret Life of Captain Ferber was released .
With the third album Rubber and Meat Kissogram engaged the drummer Joe Dilworth as another member of the band. With the album released in March 2009, Kissogram moved away from the previously almost purely electronic style and towards alternative rock. Thematically, Rubber and Meat dealt with topics such as flight, work and celebrity from the point of view of a simple, socially very low person ( The Deserter , Rubber and Meat , Messiah , Prominent Man ).
