Kittisak Rawangpa ( Thai : กิตติ ศักดิ์ ระวัง ป่า ; born January 3, 1975 in Rayong ) is a Thai former football player on the position of goalkeeper . He was one of the top goalkeepers in the country.
Career
His career began for Kittisak at FC Sinthana in 1999. After a merger of the clubs FC Sinthana and FC Chulalongkorn University in 2003, he moved to Vietnam in 2004 to NHÐA Thép Pomina. The club played in the V-League at the time. As the last of the table, the club had to go to the second division with Kittisak. He played for the club until 2006. After his stay in Vietnam he went back to Thailand and signed with FC Thailand Tobacco Monopoly . Then he moved on to the Premier League promoted FC Customs Department . The club also rose at the end of the season. Kittisak moved to FC Osotspa M-150 to sign a contract with FC Bangkok Glass at the end of 2009 . He received a three-year contract there. A transfer fee was not disclosed.
Kittisak has been in the national team since 1998 and was number one for most of it. He took part with the team in 2000 in the finals of the 2000 Asian Football Championship . His first big tournament. He won his first title with the national team in 2000 at the ASEAN soccer championships . At the tournament, however, he was only number two behind Virat Vangchan . Two years later at the ASEAN championships in 2002 he was number one and this time was able to win the title of regular player. In 2007 and 2008 he was in the final of the competition with the team.
In the meantime, the young goalkeeper Kosin Hathairattanakool from FC Chonburi fought for number one. But Kittisak was finally able to fight his way back.
In 2002 Kittisak was part of the so-called Bangkok XI team. A selection of players from the Bangkok clubs who played against Leeds United on July 30, 2002 at the Rajamangala National Stadium . In the friendlies of the Thai national team he was in goal against Real Madrid , Liverpool FC and Manchester United .
