Kitty Kahane
Kitty Kahane (born October 14, 1960 in Berlin ) is a German book illustrator, designer and painter.
Life
After an internship at the porcelain factory in Meißen and a three-year career as a book designer, she studied at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art . She works as a freelance book illustrator, designer and painter. Kahane works for numerous publishers, for whom she designs or illustrates books and other print products. As a product designer, she designs porcelain, textiles and other objects for manufacturers such as Rosenthal , Berendsohn , Volkswagen and Koziol . In 2012 she designed the postage stamp on the occasion of 100 years of the Domowina Federation of Lusatian Sorbs and in 2013 a postage stamp for the 50th anniversary of the “ Jugend musiziert ” competition.
