Kjell Olofsson

Kjell Ove Olofsson (born July 23, 1965 in Källö-Knippla ) is a former Swedish football player . The striker has made his career in Sweden, Norway and Scotland.

Career

Olofsson comes from the youth of Klippna IK . From 1984 he ran for the Gothenburg club IF Warta in the adult area, in 1986 he moved within the city to Örgryte IS in the Allsvenskan . In 1989 he moved to Norway, where he joined the first division club Moss FK . Despite the club's relegation the following year, the club remained loyal. Although he returned to the Tippeligaen at the end of 1996 under coach Per-Mathias Høgmo , he moved to Dundee United in October of that year . There straight away a regular player, he led the promoted team with 13 goals this season to third place in the Scottish Premier League behind the Glasgow clubs Celtic and Rangers and into the semi-finals of the Scottish FA Cup . The following year he moved with the team dominated by a Scandinavian block formed by coach Tommy McLean with him and the Swedes Mikael Andersson , Göran Marklund , Magnus Sköldmark , the Danish Thomas Tengstedt , the Norwegian Erik Pedersen and the Icelandic Sigurður Jónsson , in the final of the Scottish League Cup , but there she lost with a 3-0 loss to Celtic. After his contract expired in 1999, he returned to Moss FK before he let his career in lower-class Norwegian football at SK Sprint-Jeløy and Tronvik FK end after relegation in the first division in late 2002 .
