The kkStB series of tenders 36 was a series of tenders of the kkStB whose tenders were originally also for numerous private railways, such as the Dux-Bodenbacher Eisenbahn (DBE), the Prague-Duxer Eisenbahn (PD), the Bohemian-Moravian Transversal Railway (BMTr) and for the Lemberg-Chernivtsi-Jassy Railway (LCJE) as well as for numerous local railways not specified here.
The kkStB procured these tenders for its locomotives from 1885 onwards. They were supplied in large numbers by the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik , the StEG locomotive factory , Ringhoffer in Prague- Michov and the Floridsdorf locomotive factory . They were mainly coupled to freight locomotives .
Several copies remained in the service of the ÖBB even after the Second World War, where they were given the series designations 9036 and 9056. These were used with locomotives of the 55 and 56 series.
