The kkStB 191 was a tank locomotive series of the imperial-royal state railways of Austria , which was taken over by the Kaiser Ferdinands-Nordbahn . The KFNB had ordered the two locomotives for the Bielitz - Kalwarya local railway , which only allowed 8 t axle pressure due to its weak bridges . Since tight curves had to be driven through and 50 km / h should be reached, the kkStB 197 could not be used.

The Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik therefore designed this series of locomotives with a wheel arrangement that is unusual for Austria . The two machines were delivered in 1888.

Due to the risk of derailment when supplies were used up, the maximum speed had to be reduced from 50 km / h to 35 km / h. Around 1910 they were after Lundenburg placed where they, together with the 97 .253 traffic on the local railway Saitz - Göding mastered. They were replaced in Dzieditz by the 564 .01-03 .

After the First World War they came to ČSD as 300.001 and 002 , which they left until 1929.
