The steam locomotive series kkStB 3 was a collective name for express train - tender locomotives of the kk Austrian State Railways (kkStB), whose assigned locomotives originally came from the Kaiser-Franz-Josephs-Bahn (KFJB) and the Moravian-Silesian Centralbahn (MSCB).

KkStB 3.01–13 (KFJB)

These locomotives from the KFJB were converted from 1893 to 1903 into machines of the kkStB 4 series (4.181–193). They were originally built 1879-1880 and had the numbers 201-213 at the KFJB .

KkStB 3.21–23 (MSCB)

These three locomotives had the numbers 27-29 at the MSCB , were initially given the series designation 3 at the kkStB in 1895 , but were re-designated as the 103 series in 1905  .
