The Klaffen ( 1829  m ) is a summit east of the Krottenkopf in the Estergebirge in the Bavarian Prealps . It is located in the mountain pine-covered train going east from the Upper Michelfeld, in which the Wallgauer Eck also rises.

Alpinism

The mountain can be reached from the Lochtalalm in three quarters of an hour. It can also be climbed via the Walchenseer Steig from Wallgau or from Einsiedl am Walchensee from the Wildseetal via the Kuhalm. The free summit of the gape offers good prospects.
