Klages lump

Karl Seifer ( pseudonym : Klages Klump ; * February 5, 1899 in Groß Düngen near Salzdetfurth ; † June 6, 1972 ) was a German farmer , writer and dialect author and painter .

Life

Karl Seifer was born in the early days of the German Empire in 1899 in the town of Groß Düngen, which was later incorporated into Bad Salzdetfurth. Seifer later took over his father's small farm.

As an autodidact , he taught himself to paint.

Honors

In Bad Salzdetfurth, the Klages-Klump-Weg was named after him.
