Klara Lidén's work consists mainly of videos, performances and installations as well as sculptures. Her favorite subjects include civil disobedience, hidden aggression, and rebellion in today's society.

Two of her early performance projects included building a house out of rubbish on a river bank and pasting white posters over street advertisements.

Usually she records her improvised performances and shows these short films later. Often she herself is the protagonist. This was e.g. For example, Paralyzed (2003), one of her best-known works, acquired five years later by the Museum of Modern Art . The video shows how she dances in a provocative way in an S-Bahn and lets her emotions and body run free despite the large number of spectators.

Another successful video by Lidén is Moonwalk (2008), in which she walks through the streets of New York at night in the style of Michael Jackson.

Lidén's videos are often part of her multimedia installations. In doing so, she creates fragile spatial structures from materials such as cardboard, corrugated iron and foils, through which the visitor moves and comes across hidden video presentations.

In the exhibition Unheimlich Maneuver (2007) she brought the entire inventory of her apartment to the Stockholm Museum and created an installation from it.
