Klaus-Jürgen Heitmann

Klaus-Jürgen Heitmann (born March 27, 1968 in Stade ) is a German industrial engineer . Since August 1, 2017 he has been the board spokesman for the HUK-Coburg insurance group .

Heitmann graduated from Vincent-Lübeck-Gymnasium with the Abitur and was in the armed forces , before he was trained as an insurance salesman from 1988 to 1990 at Concordia mutual insurance company in Hamburg . At the University of Karlsruhe he studied industrial engineering with a specialization in the insurance industry, while also completing a semester abroad at the University of California in Berkeley .

From November 1996 he worked at the management consultancy Mummert + Partner (today Sopra Steria ), as a senior manager and partner until the end of 2002.

He joined HUK-Coburg at the beginning of 2003 and became a board member in 2004 with responsibility for property / casualty insurance. Since June 23, 2017 he has been chairman of the supervisory board of the two subsidiaries HUK-Coburg-Rechtsschutz and HUK24 . On August 1, 2017, he succeeded Wolfgang Weiler as CEO of HUK-Coburg.

Heitmann is married and has three sons.
