Klaus Gallwe (born March 11, 1951 in Aachen ) is a former German professional boxer and property manager of brothels in Aachen's Antoniusstrasse .

Amateur career

As an amateur, Gallwe boxed for the 1925 Aachen Post Sports Club and was German heavyweight champion in 1983 .

Professional career

At the age of 34, Klaus Gallwe decided to switch to professional life. On September 7, 1985 he made his debut against Horst Lang. After winning points over Lang, he first ended his boxing career.

In early 1992, Universum Box-Promotion built up its still unknown boxers Dariusz Michalczewski and Michael Löwe behind established boxers like Mario Guedes . Gallwe decided to step into the ring as a professional boxer in his hometown Aachen . On May 1, 1992, he proposed in Eilendorfer Hall Theater Geulen Ricardo Spain in the fourth round KO . For Spain it was the 21st defeat in the 23rd fight.

After this victory, the then 42-year-old Gallwe challenged the international German heavyweight champion Mario Guedes. The duel between Gallwe and Guedes, who used to box together at Post SV, developed into a downright hateful duel. Several daily newspapers and television stations reported on the fight between the two local heroes from Aachen. 5,000 spectators watched in the Tivoli ice rink as the defending champion Guedes Klaus Gallwe barely left a chance and finally knocked out the challenger in the seventh round. Then he finally ended his career as a boxer.
