Klaus Hagemann
Klaus Hagemann (born December 31, 1947 in Wölkau , Merseburg district ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Between 2009 and 2013 he was chairman of the subcommittee on issues relating to the European Union of the budget committee of the German Bundestag .
Life and work
After graduating from high school in 1967 at the Elisabeth-Langgässer-Gymnasium (at that time: boys' grammar school) in Alzey , Hagemann studied at the Worms University of Education for teaching at elementary and secondary schools . He then worked as a teacher in Mettenheim and Westhofen from 1971 to 1987 .

Political party
He has been a member of the SPD since 1966 and was chairman of the SPD sub-district Alzey-Worms for many years.
MP
Hagemann has been a member of the Alzey-Worms district council since 1979 . He was also from 1974 to 1994 and has been a member of the city council of Osthofen again since 2004 .
From 1994 to 2013 Klaus Hagemann was a member of the German Bundestag and from 2002 to 2005 deputy chairman of the Petitions Committee . From November 2005 he was the deputy spokesman for the petitions working group of the SPD parliamentary group and also deputy chairman of the budget committee's subcommittee on issues relating to the European Union . Since the 2009 Bundestag elections , in addition to his work as main rapporteur for the budget of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in the budget committee, he has been chairman of the subcommittee on issues relating to the European Union and spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group in the petitions committee .
Klaus Hagemann has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Worms constituency . In the 2005 Bundestag election , he achieved 45.8% of the first votes . In the 2009 Bundestag election he was able to prevail with 37.6% of the first votes against the CDU candidate Ludwig Tauscher (36.0%) and was the only directly elected member of the SPD from Rhineland-Palatinate in the Bundestag alongside Gustav Herzog . He did not run for the 2013 federal election .
Public offices
From 1987 to 1994 Hagemann was mayor of the city of Osthofen .
Social Commitment
In addition to his parliamentary work, Hagemann is a member of the supervisory board of Lebenshilfe Worms, deputy chairman of the associations “With Youth Against Drugs” and “Project Memorial Osthofen ” and, from 2003 to 2010, vice-president of the THW Federal Aid Association . In 2006 he was also appointed to the board of trustees of the University of Applied Sciences Worms . He is also the patron of the “Social Exchange”, a project of the BDKJ Worms. The social exchange is an information and mediation center for social engagement in Worms and the surrounding area.
