Klaus Herdepe

Klaus Herdepe (born May 20, 1965 in Solingen ) is a German historian , author and editor of several historical works.

Herdepe was born in the Bergisch city ​​of Solingen and grew up there for the first years of his life before moving to Wuppertal . He completed his studies in history , art history and political science at the Universities of Cologne and Dortmund in 1998 with his dissertation The Prussian Constitutional Question 1848 , the revised version of which was published as a book in 2002.

Herpede was the secretary of the Bergisches Geschichtsverein , the largest German regional history association, until May 2011 , and was temporarily the editor of the Bergisches Geschichtsverein magazine .
