Klaus Hubert Auer

Klaus Hubert Auer (born October 8, 1962 in Friesach , Carinthia ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and forester . Auer was a member of the National Council from 2002 to 2008 .

biography

Growing up in Metnitz , he attended the Higher Federal Institute for Forestry Bruck an der Mur from 1976 to 1981 and then studied forestry at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna . In 1988 he graduated with a degree in engineering . Auer worked as a forest technician for the Austrian Federal Forests in the Salzkammergut . Then he was an official expert at the Carinthian Forest Directorate .

Auer was a member of the Metnitz municipal council from 1997 and took over the office of local party chairman of the ÖVP in 1998. From 1999 to 2001 he was the deputy mayor of the municipality, and between December 20, 2002 and October 27, 2008 he represented the ÖVP in the National Council.
