Klaus M. Schmidt

Klaus M. Schmidt (born June 16, 1961 in Koblenz ) is a German economist and university professor . He has been Professor of Economics at LMU Munich since 1995 .

Life

Klaus Schmidt studied economics, mathematics and political science at the University of Hamburg as a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation , both of which he completed in 1987 with a diploma . In 1991 he received his doctorate in political science and economics (Dr. rer. Pol.) At the University of Bonn . For his dissertation he received the Walter Adolf Jöhr Prize for the best doctoral thesis. In 1995 he also received his habilitation in economics there.
