Klaus Rietschel

Klaus Rietschel (born July 14, 1949 in Kromsdorf ) is a German politician (non-party, formerly AfD ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from October 2017 to October 2019 .

Life

Klaus Rietschel passed his Abitur in 1968 with a skilled worker qualification as a bricklayer. He then studied architecture in Berlin until 1973 and worked for three years as an urban architect in Erfurt . From 1976 to 1982 he worked in the construction management of the Weimar art collections . He then worked for a company. In 1984 Rietschel completed his studies as a specialist engineer for monument conservation . From 1987 to 2007 he was the owner of the Rietschel-Stuck Weimar company. Between 2007 and 2015 he worked as a plasterer and owned an engineering office. From 2016 he worked as a freelance restorer . In 2012, Rietschel held a teaching position at the Erfurt University of Applied Sciences in the field of conservation and restoration.

Rietschel is married and has two children. He lives in Weimar-Tiefurt .

politics

Rietschel joined the alternative for Germany in 2013 and was a member of the board of the AfD Mittelthüringen until 2016 .

On October 28, 2017, he succeeded Stephan Brandner and has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament since then . At the state party conference of the Thuringian AfD in October 2018, he was elected to 36th place on the list. On January 15, 2019, he announced his resignation from the party and parliamentary group.

For the state election in Thuringia in 2019 , Rietschel was on the list of the AfD split-off The blue party . He missed entering the state parliament.
