Klaus Walterscheid
Klaus Walterscheid (born April 1, 1946 in Sprockhövel ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2004 to 2014 he was the full-time mayor of the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Sprockhövel.
Life
Klaus Walterscheid studied economics and sociology at the Ruhr University Bochum . There he received his doctorate in economics in 1978. From 1975 he worked at the Fernuniversität in Hagen , most recently as an academic senior counselor at the endowed chair for business administration, lecturer and research assistant to Klaus Anderseck.
He was the full-time mayor of Sprockhövel since October 14, 2004. He won a runoff election against the CDU candidate with 53.6 percent and thus took over the office from his party comrade Paul Gerhard Flasdieck . In 2009 he was confirmed in office with 47.4 percent and a large lead. In 2014 Klaus Walterscheid no longer competed. Ulrich Winkelmann was his successor as Mayor of Sprockhövel .

He is a deputy member of the association assembly of the adult education center Ennepe-Ruhr- Süd, deputy city representative for the decision- making bodies of the city of Gevelsberg , member of the administrative board of the Stadtsparkasse Sprockhövel and chairman of the industrial area Stefansbecke association. He is also a member of the AVU advisory board, member of the municipal advisory board of Gelsenwasser AG , deputy member of the shareholders 'meeting of VER , member of the shareholders' meeting of the VHS subsidiary DIA and member of the administrative board of the Westphalian-Lippische pension fund, representative of the city of Sprockhövel in the General meeting of the North Rhine-Westphalia City and Municipal Association , member of the Arnsberg district working group of the North Rhine-Westphalia City and Municipal Association, representative of the city of Sprockhövel for the supervisory board and the shareholders' meeting of the EN agency and chairman of the foundation board of trustees of Lebenshilfe EN / Hagen.
