Klaus Winterhoff

Klaus Winterhoff (born December 16, 1950 in Plettenberg ) is a German lawyer and was the legal vice-president of the regional church office of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia from 1996 to 2016 .

Life

Klaus Winterhoff made his school in 1970 and studied in Bochum 1972-1977 jurisprudence . In 1977 he passed the first state examination in law and in 1980 the second state examination in law. From 1977 to 1980 he was a trainee lawyer and 1980/81 legal assistant for the representative of the Ev. Churches in the state parliament and state government of North Rhine-Westphalia . In 1982 he was appointed to the regional church council in the regional church office of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia based in Bielefeld. From 1996 to 2016 Winterhoff was the legal vice-president and department head for finances in the regional church office, member of the church leadership and the council of the regional church office. From 2003 to November 2015 he was a member of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD).

Klaus Winterhoff lives in Halle (Westphalia) . He is married to his wife Birgit, head of the Office for Missionary Services of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia.

Winterhoff is chairman of the financial advisory board of the EKD and the Union of Evangelical Churches (UEK), since 2003 deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the Bank for Church and Diakonie , since 2005 member of the board of directors of the German Bible Society and since 2009 deputy chairman of the board of directors of the Von Bodelschwingh Foundation Bethel . From 2012 to 2015 he was Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Evangelical Work for Diakonia and Development .
