Klaus Wirtgen
Klaus Wirtgen (born August 30, 1938 in Bad Nauheim , † March 28, 2010 in Bad Honnef ) was a German journalist .
He had been a long-time Spiegel reporter since 1969 and interviewed a number of well-known federal politicians. He previously worked as a business correspondent for the German Press Agency (dpa). A dispute over research led to a break with the mirror in 1999 ; after that he worked for the star .
Wirtgen published several non-fiction books.
