Klaus Wittauer
Klaus Wittauer (born June 30, 1960 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ / BZÖ ). Wittauer was a member of the Austrian National Council between 2002 and 2006 .
education and profession
Klaus Wittauer graduated from elementary and secondary school as well as the polytechnic course between 1966 and 1975 and then learned to be a fitter . In 1978 he did his military service , between 1989 and 1991 he attended the Agricultural State College in Rotholz .
Wittauer worked as a locksmith from 1984 and as an agricultural skilled worker from 1991. He has been an agricultural master since 1996 .
politics
Klaus Wittauer was city party chairman of the FPÖ Innsbruck from 2001 and also deputy state party chairman of the FPÖ Tyrol since 2001. From 2002 he was also a member of the Innsbruck-Land district party leadership and deputy chairman of the Free Farmers. In 2002 he was also elected to the federal board of independent farmers and chairman of the housing interest association.
Wittauer represented the FPÖ in the National Council from February 27, 2002. In the course of the split in the FPÖ, he transferred to the BZÖ, but announced in July 2005 the establishment of an independent BZÖ-Tirol. However, the actual establishment was delayed until March 2006. Wittauer was initially regional spokesman for the BZÖ-Tirol, and later deputy regional party leader. On October 29, 2006, Wittauer resigned from the National Council.
Criminal proceedings
In January 2013, the Vienna public prosecutor brought charges against Wittauer in the so-called Telekom Austria affair . Together with Rudolf Fischer , Peter Hochegger and other people , he was accused of infidelity , false evidence and money laundering .
He was sentenced to two years in prison in September 2013, three months of which are unconditional. Wittauer accepted the sentence.
