The Klein Furkahorn is 3026 m above sea level. M. high mountain in the southern Uri Alps . The border between the Swiss cantons of Uri and Valais runs over its summit .
Geographical location
The Klein Furkahorn rises directly to the north above the Furka Pass . The Sidelengrat leads further north over the 2958 m above sea level. M. high Sidelengratlücke to the Gross Furkahorn , from which the ridge continues to the Galenstock . The tongue of the Rhone Glacier runs to the west .
Summit routes
The normal route leads over the south ridge from the Furkapass, the route is rated EB . In the West, several plates find Plaisir climbing in the lower and medium difficulty (UIAA III.-VI. degrees). The north ridge (2nd degree) from the Sidelengratlücke is considered "not very rewarding".
