Klein Kussewitz is a district of the Bentwisch community in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). Bentwisch is administered by the Rostocker Heide office.
geography
Klein Kussewitz is located 10 km east of Rostock in a flat undulating area between the small Carbäk river and the Peezer Bach , both of which flow west to the lower Warnow .
The districts of Groß Kussewitz and Volkenshagen belong to Klein Kussewitz.
history
The community belonged to the Carbäk office and was a district of Groß Kussewitz from 1921 to 1961 . Klein Kussewitz was incorporated into the neighboring community of Bentwisch on January 1, 2018.

Attractions
The stone church in the Volkenshagen district dates from the 13th century and was restored in 1892–1895. The brick tower has an octagonal upper floor and a pointed helmet . In the church there are remains of neo-Gothic furnishings and a tombstone with an inscription from 1580.
The Klein Kussewitz manor was built at the end of the 19th century. Today musical events take place there regularly and it can be rented for private parties. Next to it is a former silo from 1928, which was converted into a residential building in 2000. Both buildings and the adjoining warehouse are under monument protection . The same applies to the manor house from 1805 and another silo in Groß Kussewitz.
