The small game site is 2577 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Schladminger Tauern , a subgroup of the Niedere Tauern in Styria , northwest of the Hochwildstelle and separated from it by the Seewigscharte (approx. 2560 m). The Kleine Wildstelle can be reached easily from the northwest on a marked route from the Neualmscharte (2347 m) in ½ hour. On this route, the small game area is most often crossed in connection with an ascent of the high game area.
