Kleinebersdorf is a village and a cadastral community of Großrußbach in the Korneuburg district in Lower Austria . The small village is on Laaer Strasse , an important main road in the Weinviertel .

history

In Kleinebersdorf there was already an early Bronze Age settlement. At the southern end of the village there was a house hill with a double ditch and a triple wall. Kleinebersdorf probably got its name from the gentlemen Ebersdorf, who claimed several possessions in this area. The name can be traced back to the year 1258.

On September 9, 1919, Kleinebersdorf spun off as an independent municipality from the municipality of Wetzleinsdorf . August 1970 it was merged to form the new market town of Großrußbach. In 2011 the population was 307.

Local chapel St. Antony

The elevated local chapel of St. Antonius is a simple, round, closed building from 1738 with a fascia structure, flat arched windows and a gable turret. The interior is structured by pilasters and cornices and a modern flat ceiling made of wood. The gallery with balustrade was made in the 19th century. The altar in the conche has a columned aedicula with a curved gable from around 1740, an altarpiece of St. Anthony of Padua and a baroque crucifix.
