Attractions

High altar of the pilgrimage church
  • The pilgrimage church consecrated to the Most Holy Trinity , located on the Stainmeißelberg northeast of the village and visible from afar, was built by Julius Friedrich Bucelleni from 1684 to 1686 on the basis of a vow made during the plague . In the past, the castle was probably located in its place. As early as 1679, the year of the plague, the Vienna Leopoldstadt Corpus Christi Brotherhood made a pilgrimage to Karnabrunn. After another plague epidemic in 1713, the pilgrimage reached a high point. In 1737 the foundation stone for the baroque church staircase was laid. To this day there have been several annual foot pilgrimages. The church contains some art-historically interesting furnishings, such as a remarkable early Baroque foundation picture of Count Bucellini, and is located directly on the Lower Austrian long-distance hiking trail and the Jakobsweg Weinviertel .
  • The Karnabrunn Castle is located at the foot of Church Hill and was built in the late 17th century as a moated castle by Julius Friedrich Bucelleni using an older previous building. In the north wing it contains a palace chapel dedicated to the Most Holy Trinity .
