The Kleine Ravensberg in the Potsdamer Heide is 114.2 m above sea level. NN the highest point in the Potsdam city area. It belongs to Saarmunder Endmoränenbogen , an ice stage during the Vistula-Ice Age and is directly south of Potsdamer districts Teltow and Templin suburbs in the forest area Ravensberge , which is part of the conservation area, Potsdamer forest and Havelseengebiet is. The city center is about four kilometers north.
A 36-meter-high fire watchtower and the ruins of the tower-like “ Mirenhaus Süd ” of the GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam stand on the Kleiner Ravensberg . The view from the hilltop is overgrown. There are only a few views in a north-easterly direction to the eastern districts of Potsdam, to the Berlin-Lichterfelde power plant and in an easterly direction to the Müggelberge .
The European long-distance hiking trail E 10 leads over the mountain . The only 108 meter high Großer Ravensberg is about 1.2 km south of the Kleiner Ravensberg.
