The Kleine Siebersteinsteich or Siebersteinteich is a 1.8 hectare artificial pond in the Harz that has existed since around 1800 . It is located near Rieder and Ballenstedt in the Harz district of Saxony-Anhalt .

The pond, which is part of the Saxony-Anhalt dam operation, is used for fishing , flood protection , passive local recreation and low water levels .

Geographical location

The Kleine Siebersteinsteich is located in the Lower Harz in the wooded area of ​​the Harz / Saxony-Anhalt Nature Park . It is located about 3 km west of the center of Ballenstedt and 2.5 km southeast of that of the Ballenstedt district of Rieder at about 265  m above sea level. NHN .
