Székesfehérvár small area

The small area Székesfehérvár (Hungarian Székesfehérvári kistérség ) is a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Fejér County in central Hungary . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, 13 of the localities moved to the Székesfehérvár district (Hungarian Székesfehérvári járás ), five localities came to the Sárbogárd district .

At the end of 2012, 134,517 inhabitants lived in the small area on 667.14 km², with 202 it had the highest population density in the county. The administrative seat was Székesfehérvár. The city was treated like a county.

The following 16 communities belonged to the small area Székesfehérvár. Szabadbattyán was a large municipality (Nagyközség in Hungarian) and had the third highest number of inhabitants after the two cities with 4,518.
