Kleinprießnitz is a district of the municipality of Frauenprießnitz in the Saale-Holzland district ( Thuringia ). The village is on the Camburg - Thierschneck road and has 83 inhabitants.

history

Kleinprießnitz is mentioned for the first time as "Briesene" in an undated document, originally dated "after 06.05.1210" by Otto Dobencker, but which must have been issued between 1214 and 1219. The origin of the name of the place can be clearly separated from places with a similar name. The place was subordinate to both the Wettin office of Camburg and the Eisenberg nunnery with different rights . After the Reformation, the monastery part came to the office of Eisenberg . In 1826 Kleinprießnitz came as part of the Camburg exclave from the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha-Altenburg to the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen . From 1922 to 1939 the place belonged to the Camburg district department .
