Hamlet of Klingelmühle

Klingelmühle is a hamlet and part of the municipality Seubersdorf in the Upper Palatinate . The place is about 3.6 kilometers north of Seubersdorf and about 700 meters east of Waldhausen am Waldhauser Bach.

history

According to the parish and branch description of the Waldhausen parish from 1593, a Stephan Klinger had to pay tithes on the Geythelmühl , the former name of the Klingelmühle "from 1 acre 12 Pfennig".

The unmarried Leonhard Plank bequeathed the Klingelmühle to the 30-year-old farmer's son Johann Stiegler from Mantlach according to theletter of donation ad 1200 fl” dated May 8, 1813, “with all affiliations to the village and to the field and the real mill justice based on it ”. The later owner Georg Knipfer wanted to run a sawmill in addition to the mill around 1850. Neighboring mill owners who already had a sawmill refused, but their objections were unsuccessful because the Klingelmüller was able to show confirmation from the then Batzhausen community. Here a sawmill was deemed desirable. From Batzhausen it is a long way to the other sawmills and the felled wood would otherwise have to be transported on the bad roads with great expenditure of time, so the reasoning at the time. Georg Knipfer was able to open his cutting saw on January 23, 1849. The Klingelmühle existed as a grinding mill until after the Second World War.

From 1830 the Klingelmühle belonged to the community of Batzhausen and was incorporated into Seubersdorf on May 1, 1978 together with Batzhausen.
