Klizko ( Ukrainian Кліцько ; Russian Клецко Klezko , Polish click ) is a village in the Ukrainian Lviv Oblast with about 270 inhabitants (2004).
The village was founded in 1404 is located on the banks of Wereschtschyzja ( Верещиця ), a 92 km long tributary of the Dniester , and is the center of the eponymous district municipality in Rajon Horodok to which even the villages Andrijaniw ( Андріянів ) with about 360 inhabitants, Sabolottja ( Заболоття ) with about 20 inhabitants and Jakymtschyzi ( Якимчиці ) with about 180 inhabitants.
Nahujewytschi is located 24 km south of the district center Horodok and about 40 km southwest of the oblast capital Lviv .
Personalities
- The Ukrainian writer, dissident and politician Iwan Hel (1937–2011) was born in the village .
