Kloof is a city in the metropolitan municipality eThekwini , KwaZulu-Natal Province in South Africa . In 2011 it had 29,704 inhabitants. Kloof is about 20 minutes drive from Durban .

Due to the altitude of 560 meters above sea level, the humidity is significantly lower than directly on the coast.

The Kloof Falls Lodge is on the edge of the nature reserve Krantzkloof and allows a view of a waterfall and a ravine.
