history
Gerrit Cornelius Klop (born January 10, 1935 - † December 5, 2018) was initially a chemist. In 1966 he began building harpsichords based on historical models in his home in De Meern. In 1980 he moved the workshop to Garderen, where it still exists today.
In 1995 the son Henk Klop (* 1960) took over the company. His son Niels Klop (* 1990) has been working with us since 2014. The company has about 10 employees.
Instrument making
Chest organs are mainly built in the present. These are made according to historical models. The pipes are made entirely of wood and are hand-built. The registers are mostly divided . The instruments are relatively easy to transport. Larger organs as well as harpsichords, spinets and other keyboard instruments are also manufactured.
