Monastery Le Jassonneix is since 1981 French monastery of Trappist nuns in Meymac , Correze , Roman Catholic Diocese of Tulle .

history

In 1981 the monastery of La Coudre sent the first Trappist women to a donation (Le Jassonneix) on Mont Bessou , west of Ussel . The monastery church was consecrated in 2003, and in 2006 the community was made a priory . The nuns make a living from jam production.
